Our first meeting of the year will be at Judy's on Sunday, February 13 at 2:30 PM. It will be a potluck - Judy will make a hot dish and the rest of us can bring salads - or whatever you like. It looks like most of us are coming back this year for another fun time! More Stats 09/02/2010
I looked at the HTC site today, and it seems that we are actually 14th out of 14 Women's Super Master's teams. Overall, we didn't win the "booby" prize, though! We were 391 out of 394 teams. We walked an average of a little over 16 minute miles; it took us 34 hours and 6 minutes to walk almost 127 miles. The pictures are on www.finishshots.com Strangely enough, there's a man pictured - don't know where he came from. There are cute pictures of Karen, Judy, Helen, Nancy, Pat, and Jane. All we know so far is that we finished 13th out of 13 Women's Super Master's teams. Hey, but I bet those other teams didn't have only 8 members, only 2 of whom are under 65 years of age! We each walked 3 legs with enthusiasm and had fun all the way! And, we actually got up at 7:00 Sunday morning and went for a 1 hour walk before breakfast. Are we tough or what? And what a TEAM! A few people are missing in the above pictures; Sharon, our driver and Carolyn our volunteer, but did you see who is in the picture with us? We ended up having breakfast next to Bob Foote and he graciously posed for a picture with us. Katie will be posting all of the "facts" from our race soon, so check back later. Some of the highlights: Van decorating on Thursday with dinner; The Race; Dinner at Terri and Steve's; Sunday at the beach. All of the pictures are up, so enjoy. Great job!
